Overview
Schellenberg offers the
riding enthusiast all the amenities needed for an enjoyable riding
experience. Whether you are new to the equestrian scene or are a
seasoned veteran we offer the facility and training to get and keep you
going.
We are located
very close to Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington and western
Toronto.
Schellenberg
Stables offers a warm, friendly atmosphere for you and your horse. We
are a mid size boarding/ show and schooling barn located in the northwest tip
of Oakville. Our facility is very close to everything and yet rural
enough to maintain a country feeling. Amenities
include two indoor arenas, heated tack rooms, two heated viewing
lounges, customized feed programs and certified coaching
available.
Stable Profile
Schellenberg Stables is a full featured
equestrian centre in northern Oakville. With the 407 Express Toll
Route just a 1/2 kilometer to the south and the 401 and QEW only 10
minutes from us we have a premium location to draw a client base from.
Our current customer base comes from Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga
and western Toronto. The land itself is part of the "Parkway Belt
Agricultural" designation and is protected from development. As
such our current use is protected from any expansion of the
industrial/commercial or residential boom that will stop at the 407. Our
piece of tranquility will be preserved for some time.
Our facility consists of 40 horse
stalls all with premium one piece "Soft Stall Mats" which use recycled
rubber crumb to provide a mattress under a one piece top cover.
Horses here are very well cared for.
The forty stalls are spread throughout
four barns. The "Boarder Barn" (3000sq.ft)with 13 stalls, feed and
tack room provides boarders with a barn of their own away from the
lesson kids. The "Schooling Barn" (3150sq.ft)provides the lesson kids
with their own space in addition to their own tack room. The
"Show Barn #1" (2400sq.ft)has 7 stalls with an additional tack room.
This barn also houses a bright, clean, wash stall, vending room and
heated/air conditioned upper lounge. In progress is the new
washroom facility as well. This barn is two levels. The latest
addition is a 9 stall "Show Barn"(3000+sq.ft) built in 2005/2006 it is
our premier barn with solid oak walls and large bright, airy, stalls.
It has a huge 12ftx36ft tack room and 15ftx15ft storage room with 12ft
aisles and a grooming stall.
In
addition to the barns we offer two indoor riding arenas with standard
construction. One arena is 80ftx160ft
and the other is 60ftx120ft. An
outdoor sand ring for three season use is
225ftx125ft and is lighted for night riding. Additional garage
storage and a second heated viewing lounge are located between the two
indoor arenas.
