At Schellenberg Stables we offer a comprehensive lessons program for all ages. Currently we have numerous riders from age eight to adult that attend weekly lessons. We specialize in Hunter/ Jumper. All participants in the lesson program are required to have a one hour private lesson to assess the rider's skill. After this introductory lesson you will be placed into a group of similarly skilled riders. All groups are limited to a maximum of five students to maintain a high teacher to student ratio. We offer four coaches to cover all levels and abilities. Our show coaches are Valerie Smith Bracken supported by Greg Kuti-our level three certified coach. Alison Herndorf and Michelle Pieon are our intermediate/ beginner coaches. We have twelve quality school horses available to ride depending on the skill level of the rider. We also maintain 10 quality show horses for lease to our show clients. We pride ourselves on teaching students right the first time and ensuring the care of the animal and safety of the student are top priorities.
Lessons are paid for in one month blocks paid in advance and due at the beginning of the month. Any lessons that are missed with good reason may be made up at a later date. All students will have the opportunity to attend several local Challenge Shows. Our intermediate to advanced students will be able to show at the "A" level with our more advanced horses. A variety of quality school horses are available from medium pony size,13.1hh, to large horses ranging up to 16.2hh. Our school horses are thoroughly trained and verified for soundness and safety before being introduced to the lessons' program.
