Schellenberg Stables offers several camps throughout the summer holidays. Our emphasis is always on the rider/horse relationship and in developing proper horsemanship early in the camper’s life. You will be exposed to all aspects of care for not only the horse, but also the stable he lives in.
The camp runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily and we have the added convenience of early drop off and late pick-up available to help fit your busy work schedule.
The horses are all proven school horses with your safety in mind. We have 26 to choose from so you will be able to ride a couple of different ones during your week.
We offer daily riding with a maximum of five or six students in the arena for coaching at once. While some are receiving riding instruction the others will be involved in crafts and games either outside, weather permitting, or in one of our heated/ air conditioned lounges.
Summer Camp 2019 Open Soon For Registrations
While the emphasis is on establishing proper care and riding skills early, it is also done in an informal and friendly manner so that fun is the order of the day.
At the end of each week, there is a barbeque or pizza lunch to go with a mini horse show or gymkhana so the kids can demonstrate what they have learned.
We have found these camps are a great place to meet like minded individuals and to establish new friendships. For those hot summer days, we have a swimming pool with a lifeguard to cool off after all that fun.
We invite anyone interested to arrange a visit to the stable prior to their camp to actually meet the people and see what we have to offer. Send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or phone us and we’ll arrange a convenient time to meet.
